White Fused Alumina (WFA, high‑purity fused α‑Al₂O₃, Mohs hardness 9.0) serves as a high‑end wear‑resistant aggregate and functional filler for epoxy, polyurethane and polyurea floor coatings. Featuring light‑colored cleanliness, heavy‑duty abrasion resistance, anti‑slip property and chemical resistance, it is an irreplaceable premium raw material compared with quartz sand and brown fused alumina.

Core Functions in Floor Coatings

  1. Form rigid wear‑resistant framework to greatly extend service life Angular particles embed into the paint film to withstand friction from forklifts, trolleys and heavy loads. The pencil hardness of coating rises from ordinary 2H to 3‑4H, and abrasion‑resistant lifespan increases by 30%‑200%, reducing powdering, scratches and substrate exposure. Unlike quartz sand (Mohs 7), its grains are hardly rounded after long‑term friction for lasting wear resistance.
  2. Pure‑white without yellowing for clean light‑colored flooring With Fe₂O₃ ≤0.08% (preferably ≤0.05%), ultra‑low iron content delivers pure‑white powder. It will not turn yellow or generate rust spots in white, light‑grey or tinted floor systems, making it ideal for GMP food, pharmaceutical and electronic clean workshops for easy dirt inspection.
