For light-colored epoxy coatings (white, off-white, light grey, food-grade & potable water epoxy), we recommend acid-washed low-iron high-whiteness white fused alumina, with Al₂O₃ ≥99% and Fe₂O₃ ≤0.05%. Silane-modified grades are preferred for waterborne epoxy, because they deliver better dispersion and less settlement. Coarse grades such as F240 and F320 are not recommended, as they will leave obvious grit marks and ruin the appearance of light coatings.

  • 400# 600# 800#D50:17–23 μm It is the standard grade for regular light epoxy topcoat and light floor coating, balancing wear resistance and smoothness, with recommended dosage of 8–12%.
  • 1000# 1200# , D50: This is the premium choice for high-gloss light topcoat, food-contact epoxy and drinking water lining. It maintains high whiteness without yellowing, and the dosage is 5–10%.
  • 800# / 1000#, D50:6–9 μm It is used for thin light clear coat and insulating epoxy. The film shows nearly no grit texture, and the dosage is 3–7%.
