Why does white corundum appear to turn yellow on the market?
1. Affected by impurities and firing atmosphere: The main impurities in the color are TiO2+Fe2O3. When their content is lower than 0.55%, the color of white corundum is relatively normal, but when their content is higher than this value, the color of white corundum will turn yellow or red.
2. Affected by the smelting process: Some manufacturers’ smelting process of white corundum is not very mature, so there may be impurities that are not removed during the smelting process, resulting in an unsightly color of white corundum.
