How to detect the particle size of white corundum? Let’s learn about the detection method
(1) Advantages of screening method: simple, intuitive, low equipment cost, commonly used for samples larger than 40um.
(2) Microscope (Image) Method – Advantages: Simple and intuitive, capable of morphology analysis, suitable for samples with narrow distribution. Disadvantages: Poor representativeness, difficult to analyze samples with a wide distribution range, and unable to analyze samples smaller than 1um.
(3) The settling method (including gravity settling and Li Xin settling) has the advantages of gradual operation, continuous operation of instruments, good accuracy and repeatability, and a wide testing range. Disadvantages: Long testing time and cumbersome operation.
(4) Advantages of the resistance method: The operation gradient can measure the number of particles, the equivalent concept is clear, the speed is fast, and the accuracy is good. Disadvantages: Not suitable for measuring particle samples smaller than 0.1um, and it is inconvenient to replace the small hole tube for samples with wide particle size distribution.
(5) Advantages of laser method: easy operation, fast testing speed, wide testing range, good repeatability and accuracy, and can be used for online and dry measurement. Disadvantages: The results are greatly affected by the distribution model, the instrument cost is high, and the resolution is low.
(6) Advantages of Electron Microscopy Method: Suitable for testing ultra new particles and even nanoparticles, with high resolution and the ability to perform morphology and structural analysis. Disadvantages: There are few samples, poor representativeness, measurement is easily affected by human factors, and the instrument price is expensive.
(7) Breathable method – Advantages: Low instrument price. No need to disperse the sample, measurable material powder. Disadvantage: It can only obtain the average particle size value and cannot measure the particle size distribution;
